Jim, thanks for your comment. I believe I owe you a cup of coffee for being the first to add a comment here! Let me know when I can fulfill that promise!

I certainly do empathize with parents' desire to open that avenue of communications. On the flip side, I appreciate that our principal has some legitimate reservations about it, and that these have been reinforced by cautionary tales from other principals. So, I'd say that if this is a key issue for you, then the best thing to do is to discuss it directly with the principal, as well as in key decision making forums such as School Board and PTO meetings.

Meeting times are listed on our calendar. I encourage everyone to attend and make their voices heard.

Thanks,

I recently commented on the St. Mary Parish facebook; At the recent focus nights at school parents commented on the desire to utilize email communication between the parents and the teachers; Given travel, work schedules, etc. email communication is no longer a "nice to have" but a must have in the 21st century. I strongly encourage St. Mary's School to adopt this very critical communciation tool, which I think would have many benefits to the teachers, parents and ultimately the students. Thanks You
